Used Car Prices in Pakistan

How to read a used car price
The single most useful number in the table above is the median, not the average. Averages in the used car market get dragged upward by a handful of very low-mileage or late-model cars, and downward by the occasional distress sale or mispriced listing. The median describes the car in the middle, which is much closer to what you will actually encounter.
These are also asking prices, not selling prices. Sellers in Pakistan routinely build in room to negotiate, and a car that has been listed for several weeks usually has more of it than one listed yesterday. Treat the median as the anchor for a negotiation rather than the number you expect to pay.
The width of a model's range tells you something on its own. A model spanning fifteen years of production, sold in both imported and locally assembled form, will show an enormous spread that says almost nothing about any individual car. Always narrow to the specific year before deciding whether a price is fair — each model page breaks the range down by year for exactly this reason.
What moves a used car's price
- Model year — the strongest single factor, and the reason to compare within a year rather than across a model line.
- Mileage — but read it against the year. An unusually low reading on an old car deserves scrutiny of pedal, seat and steering wheel wear rather than a premium.
- Accident history — repaired structural damage should sit clearly below the median for its year, and frequently does not, which is why an independent inspection pays for itself.
- Registration province — a car registered outside the province you live in adds friction at transfer time, and buyers discount for it.
- Imported or locally assembled — the same model can sit in different brackets depending on origin, equipment level and whether an auction sheet is available.
- Transmission — automatics generally command a premium in city traffic but cost more to repair.
- Outstanding token tax — arrears must be cleared before a transfer is recorded, so they are effectively part of the price.
If you are selling, pricing at or just under the median for your year is what generates calls in the first week, which is when a listing has the most visibility. Pricing at the top of the range only works when the car genuinely justifies it and will survive an inspection.
Frequently asked questions
Where do these prices come from?
They are computed directly from the asking prices of cars currently listed on kaar4u. They are what sellers are asking, which is typically a little above what cars finally sell for — treat the median as your starting point in a negotiation, not the final number.
Why is the range so wide for some models?
A single model name can cover fifteen years of production, imported and locally assembled units, and cars from showroom condition to heavily used. Always compare within the same year and similar mileage.
How often is this updated?
Hourly. Every time a car is listed, edited or sold, the next refresh picks the change up.
Should I use the average or the median price?
The median. Averages are pulled upward by a few very low-mileage or late-model cars and downward by the occasional mispriced listing. The median describes the car in the middle of the market, which is much closer to what you will actually find.
Are these the prices cars actually sell for?
No — these are asking prices. Sellers generally leave room to negotiate, so final prices tend to land below the figures shown, particularly on cars that have been listed for a while.
How do I value my own car?
Open the price guide for your model, find the row matching your model year, and start from that median. Adjust downward for above-average mileage, accident repair or out-of-province registration, and upward for documented service history and original paint.
